I have not seen the need for revival of traditional water harvesting techniques which are all maintained in very bad shape. Government(s) should give more importance to this as there are possibilities to increase the water table as well as retain water for longer period in the vicinity of the agricultural lands. Instead of constructing large dams, revival of decentralized small water  bodies will go a long way in promoting climate resilient agriculture.
