Its nice to raise this topic for open discussion. yes we do lot of innovations in sanitation facilities but when any natural disaster comes to city or town all sanitation facility fails there are lot of of option to provide toilet facility in emergencies: 1) if presence of large number of people, open defecation and trench latrins option can be provide for short time duration. the site should be choose such that there is minimum ground water contamination. hand washing and supervision should be organised. all excreta should be covered with soil as soon as possible. 2) for emergency situation, repair the existing toilets is the best option. during flood excreta should be stored in bags or buckets and brought to treatment plant. 3) Peepoo bag or plastic bag is used immediate intervention at the houshold level until proper toilet can be built. 4) provied raised toilets at the community

Kevil, can you give some more details about "Peepoo bag". Do you have some literature about them? Are they recyclable?
