Open defecation is the major problem by which many infectious water born diseases are spreading in many places specially in rural areas and villages where the sanitation is a big issue.One of the main distributors of human excreta by the Indian railways from every corner of the country,as there is no proper collection from the train and disposal to the sewage plant,they spread the human pho on every railway track and in rainy/flood situations all these are thrown to the near by water bodies or largely contaminates the human activities as every one walks on it and causes cross contamination.Indian railway can really help or prevent these highly contagious distribution by creating collection system from the toilets and dispose or connect to the sewage plant from the main railway stations,so that much sanitation can be provided through out the country.I stressed this point in sanitation session at India water week 2015,well prevention is better than cure.Sanitation and disinfection is very important where population density not balanced against human health,and there should be an awareness program through posters in such places other wise SWATCH-BHARAT slogan is of no use.
