Hybrid rice cultivation, ...

Hybrid rice cultivation, technically known as SRI (Syatem of Rice Intensification) coupled with drip irrigation has been widely experimented in several States in India. The result are stunning. The crop yield increases substantially and the water use efficiency goes up. SRI + drip irrigation thru solar water pumps is the new buzz around. CGIAR / IFPRI is working on these, in India. I too am a part of the team.

It is fantastic,we are from the Godavari Dist of Andhra pradesh, the SRI system of paddy cultivation is initiated since a couple of years though the system works, but no enough yields, due to irrigation water scarcity and the cost for pumping the water by motor pumping engines and the oil cost, drip irrigation, well not at all practiced by the farmers in this area..your technology sounds good and what kind of hybrid cultivar you are using in paddy..I am interested to know more about your technology..can you link the discussions with us and would like to get your complete contact address and phone No etc,,I hope to see you at the conference.Thank you.
