Renu ji there is enough water available in rural areas through water tanks and rivers like godavari etc.but the real problem is the availability of of clean water.many water bodies are heavily contaminated due to poor sanitation and bad practices at the banks of the rivers and ponds and the public miss use.In olden days in many rural areas there was keeping one or two clean water tanks supervised by the local authorities like municipalities, now every village is depending on overhead water supply..totally run by pumping,if the power problem arises in summer there is a frequent water scarcity..so every village should have an alternative drinking water supply under the supervision of local govt organizations..also the miss use of drinking water/wastage should be prevented with care.
