Why does increasing TDS in feed water cause increasing differential pressure in UF?

Hi, This is mainly due to the particulate silica based material increase, measured as Silt Density Index (SDI ) Slight changes in turbidity will quickly block any UF system. Turbidity usually increase with increase in TDS.

I agree with Verma, by harness increasing and interaction with base CEB (Caustic), scales will be formed.

Higher TDS means higher Hardness.
It can be form scale inside fibres, thus cause earlier choking.
