Technical solutions are there for the wide range of water issues related to rural and urban water quality, surface and groundwater availability. And solutions have also begun to incorporate ecosystem preservation and socioeconomic aspects, to strive for sustainability. However the major challenge is in a unified approach with cooperation by all stakeholders in a transparent and concerted manner. This is happening in small pockets throughout the country, but needs to be put on a war footing.
