Hi Renuka, It depends on the source of the waste water as mentioned above domestic water is easier use for irrigation than industrial water which contains lot of nano particles whose long term effects on crops is still somewhat unknown. It is better to use treated waste water where human contact is minimum. Few water companies even sell this water to the farmers. I suggest you to read about "Tula Valley" in Mexico where they have been using waste water for irrigation with very good results along with a few health problems for the people living in this area.
