Hi Juan, great to meet you on the forum. There are various ways of using ICTs to improve efficient water management. What is most crucial here is that the ICT tools are developed in collaboration with stakeholders and system operators. You can build a water smart grid using only mobile phones and IVRs. One of the successful examples is the Urban Water Information System built on a human powered smart grid using the above mentioned technology in India. I will be presenting a technical paper on how we created the smart grid and the resulting improvements in the existing water distribution system on the 9th. Would be happy to connect there.
