Hello friends, This is Er.R. Ilangovan from Tamil Nadu State in India. Major portion of the Water is being used for Agriculture,Industry and Domestic. Among all Agriculture sector shares 70% of water in Tamil nadu.Inspite of going towards drip and sprinkler irrigation we have to take decision for stopping all chemical based farming system in to Organic Based farming in which 30% water saving is proved for all kind of crops. It has multi number of benefits such as increase in soil fertility,water conservation, sustainable farming practice,pollution less water, easy and debtless farming and healthy produce. So all the Government must take proven system Organic Farming for conserving water. Tamil Nadu farmers already in the process. We the Water Resources Department of Tamil nadu Government has already given training to 2.00 lakh farmers through various seminar, training and exposure visit. Our scientist cum Doctor MR.KODUMUDI NATARAJAN has invented Panchakavya ( cow dung cow urine, milk, curd and ghee ) Navakavya ( additional 4 ingredients) and Dasakavya (additional 5 ingredients ) and Bio Repellent etc for doing Organic farming. Under these system more than 60% expenditure for agriculture practice is saved. More than 10,000 farmers are now practicing the organic bio diversity farming methods.. All these farmers use 30% less water in all kind of crops. By stopping all chemeical inputs we can also reduce the golbal warming effects. The urban solid waste can also converted in to bio compost and linked to Organic Farmers. But few scientists says organic farming will reduce the yield.It is not correct statement. It has well proved by Tamil nadu Agricultural University Scientist Dr. Selvaraj from OOTY in Nilgris District that organic farming reduces water consumption,increase healthy yield and reduces the cost. We can show more than 1000 success field. But the Policy makers shall come forward to look these changes from field and guide the Governments to adopt the Changes as proactive aspects.
