Regarding your comments on ancestors, your ancestors were lucky, because they didn't had 1.30 billion population like what it is today, there was no industrialization, no energy demands, no need to practice agriculture with efficient practices to feed 1.3 billion population.....the demand was too low.....and because of that an illusion gets created as if ancestors had special techniques to feed 1.3 billion population. Wish ancestors are reborn in 21st century and see if they could offer their wise-decisions in the wider mess in water sector of today's India.
